02/24 Linda's "Out of The Box" Class

Have you purchased a Silhouette Cameo or Portrait machine and not used it? Is it still in the box? Well it’s time to “Get It Out of the Box”. Linda Miller is offering a class to help you get started. You will unpack your machine, learn where all the cords go, get the Studio software loaded and get your machine registered at Silhouette America. You will be able to turn it on and make sure it works, you’ll get everything upgraded, become familiar with the Studio software, learn how to load the cutting mat & blade assembly, download some free files, learn how to organize your images, and make your 1st cut!

You do have to bring the following to class:

If your machine is still in the box, bring in the whole thing. If not, make sure you have the machine, the Silhouette software disk, a skinny black cord with a chunky black rectangle and a power cord attached to the other end, a gray USB cable, a cutting mat, your blade assembly, your Getting Started booklet, and the download gift card from Silhouette. As well as a laptop computer with power cord, an extension cord, a few sheets of 8½ x 11” card stock, and a scraper or lifting tool.

You do need to be comfortable about how your laptop computer works – you’ll need to be able to: access files, know how to copy, cut, paste, & highlight an object; and be able to find available Internet servers & printers. If you are unsure of these skills or have any other questions – contact MOT and we’ll find a solution or an answer for you before class starts.
